Burial

Types of Burial Services

Whatever your choices and preferences, We are here to help you to make the right decisions. We will take care of the details so you can focus on your own family.

Traditional Funeral

Today, there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to have a funeral. Brampton Cremation & Visitation Centre strives to ensure that each funeral service we organize is unique to the person who has passed away. We will sit with your family to discuss your culture, faith and traditions and help make decisions that are right for you. Will your loved one be buried or cremated? Will there be a large religious service with many people in attendance or a small, intimate gathering with only close family present? Your loved one’s favourite photos, music, flowers and keepsakes can play a role in making sure the funeral reflects them and the life they lived and we will do our best to honour all your family’s requests and ideas.

Memorial Service

A memorial service usually happens after a loved one has been buried, but when the family still wants a structured funeral service. With this type of service, a gathering of family and friends will take place for a service of remembrance, either at the funeral home or place of worship. A period of visitation can be added to the memorial service option if desired. Often a reception will follow the service, which can accommodated in our private family lounge. Memorial services usually happen all in one day.

Graveside Service

A graveside service offers families an opportunity to be with their loved one a final time prior to burial or entombment. Taking place at the cemetery, a member of the clergy is often on hand to say a few words and offer prayers before the casket is either buried or entombed. A graveside service can be a stand-alone service, or part of a larger traditional funeral.

Immediate Burial

Also known as a basic or direct burial, this is the most basic service that the funeral home offers. There is no visitation, service or gathering of family and friends before the burial takes place. However, should the family wish to have some private time with their loved one before the burial happens, this can be arranged for an additional cost.
