In Loving Memory
Manjit Singh Johal, aged 74, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024, surrounded by his devoted family, at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, ON. Born to the late Pritam Singh Johal and the late Surjit Kaur Johal in Phillaur, Punjab, on January 30, 1950. After graduating from Punjab University Chandigarh Law School, Manjit charted a path to Canada, where he married his love, Nirmal (Nimmi) Kaur Johal (nee Dosanjh) in 1975, built a thriving business, and raised a beautiful family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Nimmi, his children Raman (Sumeet), Navneet (Gaurav), Jasmeet, and his grandsons Shaan, Jeevan, Dillon, and Vishaal. He was so proud of his family and spent the last decade in retirement, devoted to his family, gardening with Nimmi, basking in the sun on his patio, and playing with his four grandsons. He is survived by his brother, Paramjit Johal (Jasminder) and Nirmal's siblings, Kamal Dosanjh (Manjot), Ujjal Dosanjh (Raminder), Hartirath Sahi (Harpartap). Manjit was respected and adored by a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends. Manjit will be remembered forever for his joy, his strength, his loyalty, his spirit of generosity, his ability to infuse laughter or a song into any moment in which it belonged.
